Tarver does square up sometimes when he is on the ropes granted but he is also very slipery when trying to corner him ,i dont think Joe knows how to use educated preassure & he showed that inhability in the Hopkins Fight IMO

I think Bradley showed educated preassure against Witter keeping Witter on the back foot & under preassure without even throwing ,picking stages where he wanted to capatalise and take advantage also counter punching well on the front foot

Tarver also covers up when he's getting pressured now, he doesn't really punch back when the other guy is punching.

I thought Calzaghe put educated pressure on Kessler when they fought.

He had to fight the fight he fought against Hopkins because he knew the way to beat Hopkins was to outwork him.

i agree with most of this but i feel Kessler fights a lot more Square on than Tarver & he is not the most fluid he seems kinda stiff & he backs up in straight lines a lot IMO aswell ,the best analogy of him ive heard was he goes back with his hands up like a battered wife LOL

if u back up in straight lines someone like Calzaghe will take advantage ,Tarver is'nt as predictable IMO he slides off at angles when backed up

That's true, Kessler's style is the typical European style but he just does it very, very well.

I don't think Tarver has the legs to move to the side or spin away for the whole fight anymore, I just think that anyone who puts educated pressure on him would beat him.
