Tarver has the best chance of beating Calzaghe IMO

Tarver has the best chance of beating Calzaghe IMO , I never really took to Tarver because he beat Roy and i feel the majority of people feel the same way as i do Towards Tarver ,but recently ive got around to watching quite a few of his fights and he is a very underated fighter he has tremendous Boxing ability IMO on the front foot or back foot ,he is quick strong very good counter puncher, good jab he is a southpaw

i think a guy like Tarver with his counter punching skills & reach advantage a guy who is very cagey who is also a Southpaw who has very good power & ring smarts

Tarver is as skilled as Joe if not more so Tarvers main problem is he goes to sleep in fights sometimes but it think a fight with Calzaghe would bring the best out of him ,he showed very good stamina against woods for his age so i dont think that would be in question he moved & punched all night against Woods

Not sure. If Jones has anything whatsoever left, as most agree that he does, then I think that's Calzaghe's hardest fight. Best of the rest, I agree, is Tarver.

Got to say, as a Calzaghe fan, its nice to realise that there are very few boxers out there who ANYONE thinks can actually beat him.

I don't think so. Tarver right now is going to lose to a guy who puts pressure on him and that's the kind of fighter Calzaghe is.

Tarver handled Glen Johnson preassure i agree he was younger than but Calzaghe would 'nt be able to walk through Tarvers shots the way the grannit chinned Johnson

Tarver uses more angles though to offset his oponent he has very good movement ,Tarver fires off combinations moves over switches the angle and fires again IMO Calzaghe would find it difficult to pin Tarver down

Tarver is good to watch but I think more people would want to see Jones even with the fact that Tarver is the new IBF light heavyweight champion, more people would want to see Jones or even Pavlik vs Calzaghe. Tarver should defend his belt then think about a match with Calzaghe. Tarver should fight Dawson if he wants a shot to unify the belts

Carl Froch would beat Calzaghe. Hell, even 44 year old Hopkins beat Calzaghe.

He was there to be pressured and beaten against Woods, I think Calzaghe would have much more success against Tarver if he keeps his hands up and puts educated pressure Tarver.
