You didn't specify that in your last post. As soon as I read what you wrote, Hatton came to my mind too.

The only asterisk for the Corrales fight is that he was having such trouble making weight that he vacated his IBF (I think it was the IBF) title at 130 to fight at 135, but fought Floyd in his next fight. He had to boil down quite a bit to get down to 130 in that fight. That and he was facing charges of beating his wife up...

Anyway, the weird thing is, Corrales fought at 130 for quite a while after he got out of jail.

I would say his best defensive performance was against Oscar, best offensive performance was against Ndou, and best all around performance was against Castillo the second time.

Probably against Tony Pep and that was Mayweather at his most skilled performance. Actually the Genaro Hernandez fight was and so was his second round knock out of Angel Manfredy. A lot of Mayweather's best fights were before he broke his hand. I would say the Jesus Chavez fight was probably his sloppiest performance, and that was AFTER he broke his hand against Carlos Hernandez.

I reckon N'Dou was 1, gatti, corrales, ricky hatton he desplayed good speed and power. He didnt really show his tru talent againest Oscar but it was still enough.

I am not sure about best performance, probably Corrales for me, but my favourite was against Jesus Chavez. That was a trully great effort to stand up to a bull like Chavez and just pick him off at will with that right hand. That rolling uppercut that Mayweather throws really is a thing of beauty and Chavez took so many of them flush, his chin must be made of granite. Great performance that and a great fight.

I loved how he ran from an old man (Baldomir) Got booed big time, people left before the fight was over, Floyd was clowned by an Old drunk announcer and then Floyd breaks down in tears at the post press conference.

                      Really?

I thought Mayweather looked sharp as **** with his counterpunching in that fight.

He actually was able to run, but put good power on his counterpunches at the same time, which is pretty impressive.

Chavez definately did better than anyone else at 130 against Mayweather.
