scott if you dont mind, can you please elaborate on David Tua, i always thought he was a nice guy, at least when he was communicating with the media. What set you off about him?
thanks for mentioning Jerry Quarry, i loved watching that man fight
From my experiences Tua has always been a very nice man. I talked to him at a press conference in NYC before he fought some journeyman Eddie Guttierez. He took the time to talk to me and was very open about his career, which isn't how I imagined him to be.

He had a very good sense of humor, had a humble demeanor and liked to talk about boxing. He's one of the coolest guys I had met.

I also met Tyson more than once and know people who know him well and have been around him and EVERY indication I have is that he is REAL cool. I have a chapter in my book that explains in detail why and how James Toney is MUCH cooler and ingratiating in person than you might ever expect him to be from seeing or reading about him. Of guys I know that have a certain amount of recognition level to fans I would say Vinny Paz, Lawrence Clay-Bey and Mickey Ward immediately ome to mind as guys who are the type that you could walk up to them, talk to them, and come away with nothing negative whatsover to say about them

I agree, while I felt Mayweather had an air of self-importance about him, he seemed appreciative to his fans.

Micky Ward is also a very nice guy. He's very humble and likes to talk about his career.

The closest thing I have done to meeting a real boxer is chatted on here with Iceman Scully about a few things.

It's pretty sweet to think about talking to someone who once had a very competitive bout against Michael Nunn (**** what those judges said... douchebags).

That was my Kellerman fanboy moment for the day.

                Livingstone Bramble. Cool dude.

Michael Grant. Sexy girlfriend. Easygoing guy.

Lennox Lewis. Walking down the beach solo. Odd. But cool guy.

Sugar Ray Leonard was a total prick.

I met Ali three times...he is he ONLY guy I ever met (boxer, singer, rapper, actor, athlete) who I can say it was AMAZING to be around the guy. There is an AURA to the man, NO DOUBT about it.

he was "getting" slow or sick when i met him. he was sitting in a Rolls Royce convertable handing out pre signed Nation of islam brochurs (sp) LOL..

he wouddl just ask your name and them fill it in under " To : "
I was the last one in line and he was looking around asking if they had anymore....and then he gave me one. I ihave since framed it with a picture of him standing over Sonny Liston. Because I was the last one and caught him off guard he never filled in the " To : " part...
