Carl Froch - Mikkel Kessler has to happen!

If any of you saw the fight last night, Carl Froch dominated the undefeated (although admittedly unknown) Albert Rybacki over four rounds, winning by stoppage in the 4th, Rybacki displaying an amazing chin over the four rounds taking a huge uppercut which knocked his head flying back, it was an impressive win against a stand in opponent after Dennis Inkin ducked Froch by pulling out of the fight.

I think Froch deserves the fight with Kessler even though he hasn't defeated any big names, because he's been hugely impressive in his career so far and is a good name for Kessler to have on his record at this point in his career. I don't know who'll win, but it will definitely be an amazing fight to watch. I see Froch as having a big power advantage but Kessler having better defense and boxing skills.

I'd really lke to see that fight. To me Froch looks like a nightmare for anyone. His power appears to be frightening and he has a strange almost lumbering style that disguises the fact that he can throw punches from all kinds of angles and when off balance. Barry McGuigan said last night he thinks Froch is the best SMW in the world after Calzaghe. I was surprised! He said the same thing about Kessler before he fought Joe.

Anyway, Kessler/ Froch would be one of the most exciting fights in boxing right now, I think I'd slightly favour Kessler to win though. I think he'd expose Froch's defence.

Froch looked to have decent handspeed too.

I was more impressed with the way he came across in his promo thing before the fight. He was respectful to Joe Calzaghe and was having a laugh singing along Johnny Cash

My girlfriend liked him too, she said he was sweet lol.

Yeah, he seemed like a top guy, but I still think it's funny as hell when he talks **** about fighters, it's like he's reading it right out of a script or something, makes me laugh.

I doubt that it will happen anytime soon. Kessler's going for the WBA title and Froch for the WBC version. Unificationfights are rare.

If Kessler, as is expected, wins handily, look for him going across the atlantic to fight Miranda (if he defeats Abraham) or Jermaine Taylor.

Froch needs a win against a top-notch opponent before we know if he's for real. Kessler vs. Froch is at least one year away. More likely two years.

He's looked like **** against some complete bums. He has improved as a fighter. He makes bums look like bums now.

Robin Reid was a past prime top 15 (maybe top 10) SMW of all time who gave Joe Calzaghe his biggest test to date, not really a tomato can, but I agree Froch does need to prove himself against a top fighter.

Why ask a question, if your not going to listen to how others respond.

The general consensus is : Froch has not proved himself for a shot at Kessler.

Im pretty confident Andrade would beat him.

I think Andrade woud get hammered.

Would be a good fight though.

Froch should be the guy targeting Miranda.....that would be fireworks.
