I agree it can go 12, actually it probably will. In that case UD for Cotto. The only chance Margarito has is putting nonstop pressure and don't even try to box with Cotto, tire him out and finish. Margo is too slow for Cotto if he tries to box him.

This is exactly what ive been telling myself. People think that marg is the only one that will be going forward the whole fight, no it will not happen the whole fight. Marg is too squared,too open, his punches are slow thats why this guy was just slipping them. I honestly think this fight will go the full 12 because marg and cotto will have too much respect for eachother, but marg will try to check cottos chin,and cotto will try to check marg ribs.

those are called boxing shoes, and i thought Cotto boxed very effectively. He avoided shots while landing counter shots of his own. It just caught people off guard because Cotto was given the reputation as a brawler for some reason. Cotto has boxed like that many times before. Cotto wasnt "runnin track" but he was "showing skills" in my opinion. It depends how you look at it. Mostly haters and Mosley fans will say he ran. Cotto fans and some others say he was showing boxing skills.

I think Cotto will find Margarito much easier to hit than Sugar Shane Mosley. Margarito is also slower and more open to counters, the shots that hurt you most. His body is longer so he will be more open to body shots. Margarito likes to fight inside and i think Cotto's better speed and shorter arms will get there first constantly. On the outside, Cotto should control with his jab and straight right hand. If Cotto can take Margarito's shots, he wins easily in my opinion. But ill admit that is a big if. I think he will though and dominate Margarito.

Yea they will exchange some but i think marg is smart enough to know that hes not going to be in there with some bum just to knock out,he knows hes in there with someone that knows how to use the ring and not someone to just stand infront of you. Marg will know that hes in there with someone faster then him so he cant throw those loopy wide shots cause cotto will counter.If marg wants to win hes going to have to fight smart, not wild.

It's not his nature. He isn't a natural counter puncher. When Margarito tries to box and pick his spots he can be beaten to the punch. He also doesn't generate anywhere near the same amount of power he does coming forward.

His fight is to swarm and throw punches from different angles.
