Kelly Pavlik Preparing To Batter Gary Lockett

WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik is not taking any chances with challenger Gary Lockett on June 7 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Lockett is a heavy underdog in the fight. Pavlik tells the Newark Star-Ledger that he plans to continue his pace of throwing almost 100-punches per round. He remembers being an underdog with Edison Miranda and Jermain Taylor, so he knows that Lockett is training for the fight of his life. [details]

Is anybody really gonna watch this? It's bull****. Unless Pavlik fights Winky, Abraham or Sturm who cares? Bob Arum is acting ****** by trying to act like this is what people want to see.

Good thing he's not overlooking Lockett to bigger fights. This year has been full of upsets.

            Lockett is harmless. Bless him.

Dude is even less than an average sized light-middlweight.

I like pavlik and think he'll prove to be something special in time tho he needs more big fights to prove that to me.

Locket in my eyes is a tough power puncher with not a whole lot of self belief. suspect defence, and that doesnt bode well in a fight like this against Palik.

I too hope Locket does well and doesn't embarres himself and that will all depend on his mindset. Either way he has a slim punchers chance
