Dawson is suppose to fight Diaconu as his next opponent, but Dawson has a contract with Showtime to fight Tarver this year. Which means Dawson has to give up his WBC belt in order to fight Tarver (for his IBF title), which most likely he will do.

And if indeed Dawson signs the deal to fight Tarver, the WBC will setup a purse bid for Diaconu's first title defense, which will be against Glen Johnson. Although Dawson might end up fighting Diaconu after all.
