Floyd isn't fighting the best because he's too tied up fighting ODLH.

Fighting a soft punching 140 lb boxer for millions wasn't exactly taking a big risk. Floyd would have been crucified for doing the same thing.

why isn't cotto tacked for his tune-up sort of say,
im not defending oscar but he did not look that bad saturday,
he was exploiting 12 rds on his toes, yeah he said he was looking for a knock-out he also said he hurt his left hand, forbes has a chin and was punching back, cotto vs gomez was not like that.....we all know for a tune-up forbes was not going to be that easy, i think oscar did good not great by winning a UD, which floyd would of done the same maybe with less action

no one is hating on Oscar because he had a tune up, if anything why are certain people so forgiving of Oscar for fighting a tune up but then criticize Cotto for it?

anyway, i think its the fact that Oscar, being the legend that he is, wasnt able to get Forbes out of there like he should have. not that he fought Forbes, but that he wasnt able to get him out of there. Oscar needed to send a message to casual fans. He needed to show what he plans to do in Mayweather/DLH 2 so that people can justify the purchase. He DEFINITELY didnt want to go all 12 rounds with Forbes. That was obviously not part of the plan. He needed fireworks. He needed noise. He got SOME of that. Just like Mayweather/DLH I, people were expecting a lot more which they didnt get.

I'm not hating on Oscar at all. I just think people get out of hand with their praise, to the point of not being objective at all. Oscar looked good-in shape, good timing, good speed, etc. etc. BUT Forbes looked good too. Thats all. And if Forbes is as much of a scrub as some of these taints on here are saying, then it should have been a slaughter. It wasn't. It was a clean points win, but to hear the HBO sniffers tell it, Oscar could have turned Forbes into salt with little more than a steely gaze.

So its becuase he didnt stop Forbes? that is why he looked like ****? Look Oscar doesnt need to convince casual fight fans, they already come to see him fight.
I think the real reason people say he look like **** is simply becuase they just hate the man PERIOD. most of these people that are casting their opinions like this are Floyd fans, and does this surprise you? I mean we are talking about the same people that make excuses for Floyd not to fight the best in his divison.
Why should this be any surprise? look the rematch will happen and if Oscar pulls it out, these same people that are talking **** will do the same even if Oscar knocks out Floyd, nothing Oscar does will be good enough.
Floyd better win this rematch becuase if he doesnt, Oscar will retire after Cotto, and if Floyd wants to continue to make BIG money in this sport a loss against a semi retired DLH isnt going to help matters at all.
