The MMA-bashing by boxing fans has gotten pretty ridiculous on NSB lately. Aoki is a grappler (one of the best in the game), but his striking is pretty lacking. That position on his back where he is prodding the guy with his foot is to maintain the stalemate. If his opponent tries to jump in he's going to eat an upkick. If Aoki tries to get up without his opponent backing off, he's going to eat strikes. So yes, it is what's called skilled fighting...

Aoki is an amazing judo and submission guy but what he was doing there is not skill thats some **** you would do if you are in a scary movie and trying to kick off a monster or if you are buried alive and trying to break out of the coffin.

What's exiting about that? I found that painfully boring to watch. My two best friends are obsessed with MMA (Judo, BJJ, Grappling, etc.) they both competed 2 months ago in this grappling tournament called NAGA, I train on the weekends with them, one of the two likes boxing as well and hold the mitts for me and we occasionally spar but man all they do is talk MMA, they show me videos and stuff but I just can't stand that ****.

I like Both MMA only when its strikers like Anderson Silva.

Don't say that or the midwestern white boys who wrestle will get pissed! to them its more exciting then mayweather fight.

Speaking as Midwestern (Oklahoma) white boy who grew up wrestling, I can tell you that this is NOT wrestling and it's nothing to get excited about. I know guys that I wrestled with in college that'd taken that little japanese guy apart in no time.

There are boring MMA fights, just the way there are boring Boxing matches. U have an example of what u find silly in the video posted, and then u have fights like Wlad/Ibragimov.
