Braddock, Joe Louis, Rocky Graziano and Sugar Ray Robinson. Pep, Robinson, Louis and Ali all right there a few feet away from each other. Must have been something to see live
being italian and from connecticut it sucks that i never got a chance to meet willie pep. i see all the pictures of guys at my gym posing for photos with him and it just bums me out.

Albany.... good spot. I know quite a few people from that area. Do you box there as an amateur? Did you box in Waterbury??

no, i didn't box in waterbury. i had my first am fight on the 19th in kingston, which was pretty lousy. i lost the decision, mainly because i didn't throw enough punches. i was just thinking too much, trying to make all these moves, counter, etc. when i should have just gone out and fought the kid. i just wasn't myself in there. neither one of us landed anything significant. i'll get a chance to redeem myself on the 16th in long island. i'll also be fighting at 141, not 152, which should work to my advantage.

            you're out of hartford, correct?

No idea, really. Havent been to Kingston in a while. Clay-Bey and I used to go to camp in Kerhonskon and sometimes we'd go to Brian's gym for sparring. Stan Hoffman's camp/house is right up the road ,thats where we'd stay. I used to stay in the same room, sleep in the same bed, that Rahman used when he fought and beat Lennox the first time. When Rock came to camp I'd have to get out though lolol, that was his room when he was there hahah. You ever train at Stan's place? It's private but sometimes outside guys are allowed in for sparring etc...on any given day u would have Rock, Clay-Bey, Jo-El Scott, Monte Barret, Eddie Chambers, Brandon Mitchem, Joppy, Muriqui etc etc.
