I never could see Byrd as anything more than a medicore fighter, the fact that he was awarded even a draw against Golota was a robbery. However, to answer the question, I could see it, as you said, being a heavyweight his entire career, he might be able to get some wins by knockout, now that he's facing some smaller fighters. -

His days at HW were pretty much done, but I think he can do some damage at LHW. Weird that he skipped CW, especially with Haye leaving, but there are some pretty big names at LHW.Comment

I think he'll look like **** at light heavyweight. But i could be wrong. If i was his management i'd have him fight 5 - 6 times at light heavyweight and go 10 rounds more then once before i let him go against the top of the division. He has too many bad habits that helped him agianst Heavyweights that will sink him at Light heavywegith. but i could be wrong.Comment

No matter what happens..it is AMAZING that he was able to get down so far in weight after ALL THOSE years at such a higher weight. I mean,he was in shape at the higher weight to throw punches, move,etc for 12 rounds against HUGE guys. Win, lose, or draw people wil be curious to get the details of his method of weight loss.Comment

I think his power will definitely be better than it was at heavyweight, but I don't expect him to become a knockout artist all of a sudden.Comment

Byrd simply isn't a knockout puncher. He isn't going to change his style this late in his career. Personally I think he's making a mistake competing at 175 and he'll be a flop, although I do wish him good luck.Comment
