It helps, ppl say I punch hard cause of the base in my legs. Tyson had huge legs and got full leverage. But no, you don't need good legs to hit hard. A good set of shoulders will do the trick also.

true but if you dont got the legs you better have good bone density guys with heavier bones hit hard if they are skinny.

Yeah. I always look at the bone in the shoulder to tell if someone can hit hard.

Bob Foster, Tommy Hearns, Kelly Pavlik, Gerald McClellan all had skinny legs and could punch like hell.

In my experiences, no. I have seen guys with some of the skinniest legs u have ever seen who could hit a ton. As an amateur, Breland was stick thin...but he would regularly KO top amateurs in the world with just one, two or maybe three punches

Tommy Hearns actually had thighs like tree trunks. Gerald McClellan wasn't really skinny, he was pretty normally sized.

They all had broad shoulders though.

I remember when I was like 6 years old Breland was popular at the time its a shame he never got to the level of a superstar like ray leonard. I remember seeing him when I was a kid all over the tv he was even in a Hollywood movie at a young age...do you think that got to him and took away from his boxing career?
                    an Amazing amateur though.
