Why in the hell is everyone jumping the thread starter's ass?
I think what he said is generally pretty true.
The guy who stopped Vargas (a career 154 pounder) in his prime and Ricardo Mayorga (who is known for his chin), couldn't get rid of a fighter who has been unable to claim a world championship past 130. There is something seriously wrong with that picture, and the reason is decline... obviously.
While Oscar did look good against Forbes, I can't imagine how he wouldn't have against Forbes. Listen, Steve Forbes has 9 KOs... and he started at 130. I can't imagine that his punches are going to even make Oscar hesitate when the fight is at 150, and Oscar once held a belt at 160.
I thought Two Pound looked DAMN good, considering he didn't have the arsenal to even get Oscar to respect his punches. I am one of the people who think that Forbes walked away from this match looking better than Oscar.
The only positive for Oscar is that he didn't gas, but he didn't look tense this time, and I assume that is because he didn't have to worry about getting hit with a single hard punch.
The fact that Forbes ****ed DLH's face up is quite an accomplishment in itself.
