Yall act like yall never seen de la hoya fight. He ALWAYS has trouble hitting smaller fighters. His faced was not knotted up a little red maybe but that could happen to anybody after getting hit a few times.cotto will beat dlh, marg would be a good fight de la hoya can take him to to school tho, cotto can winagainst dlh. But De la hoya can beat meyweather, people are saying their not impressed by a blowout? How Does that work. He didint knock him out so what he didint knock out pernell whitaker either, who was also a LIGHT weight fighter and dlh was in his prime. ImO he's is the best shape he's been for a very long time and after having a 12 round practice run, he is ready to beat mayweather.

(to any real boxing fan he lost to felix sturm) Did you not see what Cotto did when fighting a fighter that didnt stand a chance? Now did u see what oscar did? 12 hard rounds and a beat up face. Oscar cant beat any of the top welters even paulie would have kicked his ass.
First off, the name Paulie Malignaggi and the phrase "kicking ass" (or any derivation of it) have no business being in the same sentence, especially not in a sentence with Oscar's name in it. Second, I keep reading these ******ed ass comments suggesting that ODLH somehow got his ass kicked by Stevie Forbes because he came out with a few sc****s on his face. In case it escapes you (it has), this is boxing. Participants throw punches at each others faces. Frequently (and logically) this tends to cause cuts and bruises. You apparently missed the HBO replay that showed that ODLH took a shot right in his eye. If my 2yr-old son pops me in the eye, I'd probably end up looking worse than Oscar did. You and the rest of the twelve year old fans that dominate this forum apparently expect that fighters are going to avoid being punched in the face for the whole fight. Head down to a gym and find out what really happens in a fight. Forbes was competitive, but he didn't come close to beating or hurting Oscar at any point in the fight.

Lastly, even a 35yr old ODLH handles Margarito and Quintana. Examine the styles a bit (and watch the Margarito-Williams fight again) before you say dumb ****. No welterweight is going to steamroll Oscar, but Cotto is definitely a threat to beat him.

Now your comparing Gomez to Forbes. These guys couldn't be more different. Gomez hadn't been down because he has a pretty solid chin. Forbes apparently takes a good shot, but the reason he has been dropped has more to do with the fact that he has very good defense and is much harder to hit than guys like Gomez. I don't care how good your chin is, if you let it get hit clean enough times, you're going down (see Mike Tyson).

I 100% agree. My son who is 21 months old has poped when i wasnt looking and I felt like my nose was going to bleed. It didnt but my point is that if it had been my eye, there would have been marking or something. Forbes got handled and didnt belong in the fight other than to get Oscar some timing practice in a real event. Oscar didnt KO him, but then again neither has anyone else. I think Mayweather would, but not by power. he would get the ref to stop it on a flurry or something. Forbes has alot of heart and I dont think anyone south of 140 would ever stop him.

I'm not surprised this to trainers are talking crap about DLH, I mean seriously they just want to get a shot at DLH Tito's career is in jeopardy 'cause he has no one else to fight him and Trinidad Sr. is just trying to get a big money fight for his son against DLH or Hopkins. And Bonilla is trying to get the same for Quintana to see if maybe DLH don't fight Floyd and gets in the ring with Quintana which is a title holder.

Almost a perfect post. The only thing I not agree with is that he could beat Quintana , Margo or Cotto. I dont think DLH have what it takes to beat one of the top WW right now. Back in the day he probably would, but not now.He looked good tho, against forbes. He got down in weight and perform in great fashion. Not always you are going to KO your opponent. He still a A- fighter! And about Trinidad SR.comments, instead talk **** about DLH, he should take Oscar as an example for Tito, and do the same get Tito down in weight. And stop being lazy trying to fight at 170lbs., looking fat and slow.

I think Oscar's style matches up very well against both Margarito and Quintana. I am very impressed with Cotto's abilities and even more with his ring intelligence, so I think he would be a very tough match for Oscar. Oscar can compete with anyone though, IMO, so I think ODLH-Cotto would be an amazing fight. I know a lot of people are really high on Margarito (again), but I think that Margarito would absorb a horrific beating against Oscar. He is too damn ****** in the ring. He wouldn't realize that he was getting his faced boxed off until it was way too late. Oscar is still a sharp puncher and he has excellent power. Even though I think he could control Margarito with his jab alone, I see Oscar throwing and landing pretty much every type of shot on Margarito. Margarito's tough, but I wouldn't be at all surprised he got dropped repeatedly or even stopped by Oscar.

Agree 100% about the Trinidad camp.
