    Oscar Looked good last night!!!

I keep reading **** like "Oscar is done" "Oscar should retire"Blah,blah,blah....

I thought the fight was very entertaining 1000X better the Slappy vs Popkins, Oscar actually showed some fire and threw some combinations that have not been seen for years. I liked the fact he was on his toes bouncing around, If he fights like this his rematch with Mayweather will be much better IMO. Not saying he will win or Ko Mayweather but it will be alot more interesting thats for sure.

Ya but maybe you missed the part that Forbes looked tiny as hell compared to Oscar, and was happy being more defensive and in a shell more than being offensive. Not to mention 9 KOs in 30 wins. Oscar had every reason to let loose in the fight. He wasn't getting hit back so much, and the guy had no power to really hurt him. Plus when the guy looked as small as Forbes did, it would be an insult for Oscar not to play the aggressor. It was like a man beating on a boy. Although Oscar's face did get busted up with the few shots that Forbes did get in...

Forbes being smaller has nothing to do with the combinations Oscar was throwing or the fact he didn't gas in the final rounds.

I thought he looked very good as well, better than he has looked in a while.

I like that he was able to land shots when Forbes was slipping and rolling, Oscar threw the correct shots to catch him comming out of his slip or roll, something DLH has not been so great at in the past, remember whitaker in which he would hit nothing but air?

Oscar looked better at 150 than he does at the higher weights, I think it forced him to get into better shape, and it showed in the final rounds. Yeah Forbes isn't that good, but Oscar still threw more than 30 jabs a round for the entire fight, something he hasn't done in almost 10 years, since he fought at WW.

Oscar is in great shape , credit goes to where it's due but I'll tell you this much if gets HIT as clean and as often as he did yesterday then Floyd might really knock him out out. this is about chances and like my post in the other thread Oscars best chance is using his jab, footwork and hieght to stay away from Mayweathers countershotsand deliver his own behing his jab however if Floyd can do as good or better than Forbes (we all know he can) when it comes to landing clean blows Oscar will fade later on as in the first time, he will fall into the head games and grow frustrated and wail away as usual.

when looking at the chances I sa Floyd's are better, he is more gifted physically at this point, his athletic ability is #1 and he can make you pay for all mkistakes you make. Oscar looked good last night but Forbes ain't Floyd. Floyd knows how to excite by doing his dumb ****, smiling and **** yet still remaining 100% focused, he is the better boxer and I think it will once again show. Oscar has the tools to do it but I don't think those tools will build that house in his head. he looked good for his age last night, I'm going to watch the replay later today to analyze better, but I still don't think it will be enough to get past Floyd. some funny De La Hoya robbery bull**** would have to happen.

he looked good he still had stamina in the later rounds and the speed is there.

Ya need to remember hes been inactive since last year. So this fight was a good tune up fight.

he takes two weeks off and goes back to train and focused on Floyd, he might suprise
