First of all. How can you fight back when you don't have weapons. Whites had guns and black man had spears who would win. Second, Did you know Black tribal leaders gave other black people away to whites. Learn your history first. Why are mexicans call themselves great warriors. I would love to see the mexican army in Iraq. I would love to see how long mexican army would last in Vietnam. Wouldn't survive for a second. If mexicans fought so hard for their rights. I hate getting political on here but and that's why I think this thread is garbage but in response to your post, The US army has a very large proportion of soldiers who are Americans of Mexican descent and they are lasting a second. The original post you responded to, as well as the thread beginning are all just generalizations with no backup. And just so you know, the American army didn't do so hot in Vietnam either.

being great isnt about being undefeated.

Look at all the greats: robinson; leonard; hearns; hagler; ali; tyson; louis; frazier; etc. etc. etc. (we could go on forever) all have loses.

a loss doesnt mean you were "exposed" or that you "aren't any good".

When you fight the best you dont always win but thats FIGHTING THE BEST.

Oscar in my opinion, is a great of his era because he fought the best and by doing so he won some and lost some. To this day oscar has never been beaten down in a fight and looked as if he didnt stand a chance against anyone.

For example:
Mayweather - close split decision that was one round away from a draw and two away from an oscar win; ie. a REAL close fight.

Hopkins; was a pretty close fight until that good hook to the body that stopped de la hoya (this was the ONLY time in oscar's perfessional career where he was knocked out; and it was a body punch at that; and i believe almost anyone would have went down from a shot as perfectly placed as that)

Two losses to mosely were close fights too; one being a split decision and the other being a 115-113 (all 3 judges scored it this way) win for mosley so its not like he was dominated. the second fight i believed oscar won...the first was mosley's win in my opinion.

and a MD loss to trinidad in which most felt he won (including me)

but look who his losses are against; other (i dont use this word all the time) GREATS...not contenders or B level fighters; GREATS of their era fighters...
