Calzaghe could have faught Froch when he signed to Fight Bika, Manfredo and the Mighty Ashira.
Tell me why Frank Warren has been desperately trying to sign Carl for years.
Froch is Far too risky for Joe who likes to fight midgets and grandads.

Hatton's team offered Witter a contract for his biggest payday and he turned it down. Then after Hatton's team takes the offer off the table and finds a solid fighter who will take the money offered does Bitter start the "I will fight for peanuts and winner take all" bullocks... If that were the case Bitter should have signed the contract, the golly snoozed and loosed his chance to fight a legend.

I have to admit that I am very disappointed in Hatton and his team, at this stage of his career fighting Lascano for a 'cereal box' belt is just embarrassing IMO. At the very least he should be fighting Ricardo Torres, Paul Malignaggi or perhaps Demetrius Hopkins.
It seems like a PR stunt really, he takes this fight, looks to fill a huge Stadium in The City of Manchester Stadium and call it 'The Homecoming' knowing that he will probably fill the stadium regardless of the opponent.
I feel that unless he takes Witter and Malignaggi out then he cannot be regarded as the top LW in the World regardless of who he has beaten in the past.
I'm willing to be patient and accept he may feel he needs a warm up fight but if he doesn't take on Witter in the next year or so then I'm finished with him.....

The thing Witter hasn't factored in....is that many of Hatton's fans are exactly that - they support Ricky Hatton rather than boxing. A good friend (and a clever guy to boot) is a big Ricky Hatton fan. We commonly talk about him and his attitude is
1. Ricky Hatton is a huge boxing draw;
2. Ricky is no.1 light welterweight;
3. Ricky can fight whoever he wants and still be no.1 lww;
4. He supports Ricky to make as much money as possible.
I get angry at this nuthugging, but the bottom line is that 90% of the travelling 'fans' have the same outlook. They care nothing for boxing as a sport where the best fight the best and are basically 250lb beer bellied cheerleaders.
If Hatton doesn't fight Witter next, he's no longer no.1 at LWW in my eyes, and that the ring mag will keep him there til he loses in the ring reduces its value.
Boxing will never get mainstream sustained support until it becomes more structured and ensures the best fight the best.

HAHAHA the Nuthugging goes up another level from you, HBO didnt offer Hatton any money that is the lies your hero made up for idiots like you to chew up......The real reason he had to put the fight back on UK time was because HBO refuse to sanction his fight with Lazcano because NOBODY was interested in that fight, Hatton wanted an easy fight after his KO lost to PBF HBO refuse it, So he had NO choice but to put the fight on in the UK and called it for my "Fan" even though its on PPV here in the UK.
Oscar just had a fight for his "Fans" and guess what it was free...but your hero still charge you idiots cash to see him beat up on a mediocre former lighweight.
