When I wrote this question the name that kept poping up in my mind was Whitaker but then again the way I asked the question I was almost begging for a Wright answer
Which southpaw EMPLOYED the Jab Best
Now had I written :
Which southpaw had the better Jab
You might would have considered leaning the Whitaker way
I always thought Whitaker's jab was one of the best. he could mix up the angles on it, find ways to land right through people's defence. excellent placement.
Hagler had one of the hardest hitting jabs Ive ever seen. It was more like a straight right hand than a jab. he could chop up faces with it, and seriously hurt people. now that I think of it, wasnt it a jab that rocked Hearns and led to the following knockout?

Nah, it was a leaping right hand by Hagler over a lazy Hearns jab.
Hearns first went spaghetti legged late in round 1 from a straight right hand by Hagler. I don't remember if it was a jab or if Hagler threw a straight right from an orthodox stance.
