Chavez broke Taylor down because Mel sat down with him and punched, he wanted to show he was a warrior. Mayweather sits down sometimes but he never takes his eye off the ball, and always maintains a brilliant defence. If you watch the Chavez-Whitaker fight, it was only during Pernell's inactivity where Chavez was able to do anything remotely noteworthy, and Pea still won the fight clearly, he boxed Julio's head off. Mayweather would do the same, this would be Castillo-Mayweather 2

So you're say it'd be a close fight, with Mayweather running around the ring, and complaining about body shots. interesting.

Like he embarassed Castillo? See, I know Mayweather was injured but still Chavez was much better than Castillo and would be able to do what Castillo did plus more and be better at it. A very close fight it would be i believe. Chavez could not be hurt, was great at cutting off the ring, and could punch which would cause Mayweather problems. Oscar couldnt cut off the ring and almost won, it would be a definite that Chavez would cut off the ring. When people talk about beating Mayweather i think it would have to be someone who could mimick either Chavez or Duran, cuz those are two guys i think Mayweather wouldve had huge problems with.

Chavez can only come foreward..He'd need a PLAN B to beat the likes of Mayweather.

Mayweather..unlike Chavez..has the strength..skills..power..and defense..To WIN TITLES above 140.


If Chavez was quitting at 140..he'd be sucking ****s at 154..
