Prime Chavez vs Prime Mayweather Jr.

Who wins and How??? I think this is a repeat of Chavez Taylor, then again I might be giving Floyd too much credit, Taylor actually fought. Chavez breaks him down and stops him inside of 10

Chavez broke Taylor down because Mel sat down with him and punched, he wanted to show he was a warrior. Mayweather sits down sometimes but he never takes his eye off the ball, and always maintains a brilliant defence. If you watch the Chavez-Whitaker fight, it was only during Pernell's inactivity where Chavez was able to do anything remotely noteworthy, and Pea still won the fight clearly, he boxed Julio's head off. Mayweather would do the same, this would be Castillo-Mayweather 2

Taylor was throwing about 80 or 90 punches a round and threw lightning fast combinations. that is not Mayweather.

its a common misconception that Chavez lost to boxers. he was actually great against them, was excellent at walking them down and working their body. In reality, Chavez had problems with volume punchers, because he would end up going too defensive sometimes and would lose rounds due to it.

The only real boxer that Chavez lost to was Sweet Pea, and Pernell actually threw a good number of punches in the majority of his fights. Chavez was also a bit past his best, although Whitaker himself wasnt really prime either. but its not even like Chavez got dominated, it was about 116-112.

Id go for Chavez by decision. Mayweather is good defensively, and I dont really see him quitting like Roger did. no matter how you look at it, Mayweather had lots of trouble with Castillo, who was not as good as Chavez overall, and not nearly as good as him when it came to walking down opponents. Mayweather would probebly win about 3-5 rounds early on however, but Chavez almost always dominated in the later parts of the fight.

Mayweather would whoop him. Time and time again he's proven why he's the best. Even after the incredible performances he's given people forget and it seemed half the world predicted Hatton to win lol.

Define whoop please. Are you saying ko or Floyd would be on the outside all night long and not engage inside, which would result in a boring decision. Which one is it?
