DLH wanted to fight a "classy" fighter who wouldn't insult him at press conferences. Oscar took the Vargas/mayorga/mayweather insults very personally.

              Addison,

Stevie Forbes has sparred hundreds of rounds with Floyd mayweather , Jr. He was trained by all three Mayweathers. Roger Mayweather took Stevie in and got him his first apartment. Forbes naturally uses the shoulder roll style.

Steve also sparred with Hatton to 'mimic' the FMJ techniques. Steve is around the same height and dimensions as Lil Floyd.

Overall, probably as close to FMJ as you will get.

I never knew much of that - gives me a lot better insight on this fight.

also, forbes has no knockout power.... only 9 knockouts in 33 wins? lol... oscar knows that steve forbes won't knock him out, he also knows forbes can't outbox him... he also knows that forbes will be knocked out devastatingly... good marketing strategy by mr. de la hoya.
