i mean, you ppl have seriously got to be kidding me!!! i think margarito is a good fighter, and has a chance, but lets b real......he beat cintron twice( who IS overrated, and hasn't beaten any1 himself), and he was outboxed by paul williams in btw. the margarito fights, and now all of a sudden, he's going to ko miguel cotto, who really doesn't have any weaknesses??? margarito is a pressure fighter, no skills, period, that's his style. miguel cotto is a BETTER pressure fighter than margarito, plus he can actually BOX too!

Both are pressure fighters, both fighters have good boxing skills, margarito's punch output is significantly higher, margarito has a better chin, although Cotto has improved in that area since settling into welterweight. Cotto has the edge in footwork > he has continued to improve in that area also. with the exception of reach advantage favoring Margarito, it's a competitive matchup.

also, ppl mistake margarito's relentlessness for "power" just b/c he ko'ed kermit cintron twice.....i've seen margarito's fights, and he throws a lot of punches, but i dont see anything in them that will "hurt" cotto in anyway. cotto is the harder puncher of the two. margarito has 26 ko's in 42 fights, cotto has 26 ko's in 32 fights, all victories. no power???

i was actually rooting for margarito b/c i felt he'd be the underdog, but the **** i've been reading on here is ridiculous. cotto is going to win this fight, b/c he can brawl, and if he has to- he's he better boxer, and cotto has the POWER advantage. i'll be honest, i thought cotto was overrated, but watching him over and over, and picking him to lose, i am now a believer.

the only welterweight that can beat this guy is floyd mayweather. that's real talk.

are you serious? Cotto was starving himself to make 140. however, ever since moving up to 147, he seems much stronger. Paulie would get destroyed if they fought at 147.

I disagree.

I don't think Cotto has more punching power. However, just using that as the reason why Cotto can't win is ******ed. Cintron hardly threw any combos, and, against a relentless fighter like Margarito, you have to mix it up and give him different angles. While Cotto's power may not be that of Cintron's, his skill level, speed, and stamina is superior to Cintron's. That being said, you cannot disregard Margarito's power either. I think this will be Cotto's toughest fight. In fact, I believe Margarito is a more challenging opponent to Cotto than Mayweather. In the end, however, I believe Cotto will be victorious, either by UD or TKO due to Margarito's eyes swelling up or being cut. Fight of the Year candidate, no doubt!

Cintron is a crappy fighter all around fraud, he did alright against Margarito when he kept him at the distance but at times it purposely looked like Cintron wanted to fight Margarito close. I hate Cintron now, making this prediction.
