His offense is just ****ing ridiculous from a boxing perspective now. I mean he's evolved.

But then again guys, that was Alfonso Gomez.

And he took too ****ing long to get him out of there. Should have lasted 2 rounds tops and that's only if Cotto was awake.

He impressed yeah but he was asleep at the wheel against someone who didn't even belong in the ring with him. Looked like a heavy bag session.

His body work is truly a work of art.

He was just praticing for Margarito and was enjoying hurting Gomez.

Run, I actually think that Cotto taking his time was a good thing, he basically waited, broke him down, and finished him exactly when HE wanted. Not just overpowering and outclassing, but also complete control of the ring, the time, etc... In terms of the prospect of Cotto fighting Mayweather, this is a lot more impressive than a 2 round demolition. (IMO of course).

Of course, it was Alfonso ****in' Gomezm but still...

                Yeah, probably.

But as a boxing fan I see black/White when it comes to knockouts and beatings. I mean sure I see the idea behind whipping on someone like Floyd talks about.

It's sadistic. But then again it's not as impressive to me............as someone just getting the other guy the **** out of there.

Hell nothing was better than Diego Corrales pre Manfredy. Best ever.

also, think of the circumstance of the event. this would be the first time Cotto headlines outside of Madison Square Garden, no? Being Cotto and knowing the lack of ability and skill your opponent has, would you really want to end the night early within 3 rounds when all these people came to see you? The margo/cintron fight was short enough.

Who do you got in Cotto/Marg, because I've heard lately on this forum that alot of marg fans even favor cotto to win it. I think Cottos jab **** on Margaritos jab, Margarito is a sick inside fighter with great combos but its not like Cotto is a bad inside fighter either. But then again, its probably Cottos best intrest to keep Margarito away from a distance with his hard and fast jab.
