Main Events has reached the end of the line with Kermit Cintron. Word is the New Jersey-based promoter has released the former world champion in the wake of his defeat at the hands of hard guy Antonio Margarito. Kathy Duva decided the aggravation level and the talent level did not match up so it’s adios, Kermit.
Cintron gets the axe after Margarito loss.

it's somewhat sad, but indeed the part of harsh reality, once you stop being the prime meat, they dispose of your ass as if you were non-existent to them in the first place.Main Events has reached the end of the line with Kermit Cintron. I think it's very brutal. Margarito has Cintrons number for sure.
Maybe a move up in weight?Comment

I wish I was a promoter, I'd scoop up Cintron in a second. He's still young, exciting, and no where past his prime...

Main Events should change their name to Club Fights.
The really sad part is that even after his losses to Margarito, Cintron is still one of their better fighters. I mean who didn't see Cintron getting dropped? But then again, I could have seen them keeping him just because he's still somewhat marketable and young. They don't have anybody coming up the pipe.Comment

Someone else will pick him up if Kermit wants to continue, and Honestly he might not be able to make it back to the top, but he can win a vacant belt should that come up and honestly he can make a bit of money still, not great money but it will still be enough to live comfortable.Comment
