    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

means nothing to me. I am a fan of great fights and real fighters. Just give me the best fights. Ofcourse the fighters need to be paid good for entertaining us and most of them do. Margarito, Cotto, SSM, hell even PW are pretty damn rich. Boxing on HBO pays pretty well especially if you are doing it over and over again. If you need 30 million dollars to fight a JW, that says something about where your heart is and if you decide not to fight a wrothy challenger because you wont make that much then Its definitley not in the "sport". Tyson beheaded guys who never made one percent of that. And if your fights arent even that entertaining why do you feel you deserve that much? Fans who support this should really question themselves. Are you a fan of boxing or your favorite fighters bank account? What fantasy land do you live in? Exactley how much of the PPV revs are YOU getting?

Okay even though your on my buddy list, and I find the support you give to Tony admirable, lets just keep **** as real as we can, 99.9% of the fighters of Today and from the past, got into the sport for one reason only and that is to provide a better way of life for them and their familys.
Now you can say that its not right to avoid fighting the best, but when it comes right down to it, if you were in the position to fight the very best for 5 Million but was offered 30 Million to fight a lesser opponent what would you do?
Honestly that fight for 5 Million will sooner or later come back to you, why risk losing out on 30 million when its there to be took?

Can't argue with that, another excellent example of properly used plain and basic common sense.

any real boxing fan knows that these men put there life on the line every time to support themselves and there family. many mexican grew up very poor and see boxing as a way to improve there life so i can understand why these men want to make the most money then can.

but there is a difference when a man is offered a career high payday and he turns it down to fight someone else for less money. that right there is the way of the coward and no real man would respect someone who does this.

That's true. I wanna see the right fights made. They're all gonna get paid anyway. It comes to a point where you fight for the love of the sport and your pride, not just the money because you're getting rich anyway.
