Million Dollar Baby seems that same way for a good stretch, almost as if
Karate Kid-like in structure (a dig at the wonderful star's resumé, heh),
but is actually something else. Hope that's vague enough to not
constitute a spoiler. Not Eastwood's best work, no, ...here he's almost
channelling Mel Gibson's relentlessness, but definitely riveting.

Cinderella man is a lot better as a book. WAY Better.

They need to make the other boxing book by the Million Dollar Baby into a movie. I forget what it is called right now, but I read it last year. It was a GREAT, but highly depressing book. My only compliant is that the ending is kinda lame, but that's because it was two different authors who finished it. The originial author died while writing it and 2 others finished it.
