Chagaev UD, Chagaev is my favourite heavyweight. He's talented and Haye would give him more space to get more leverage on his shots than Skelton.

Haye has more of a chance against Wlad imo. Chagaev is made of sterner stuff,

Chagaev is a very tough matchup for Haye...Chagaev has one of the best chins in the heavyweight division, he has never been down, never seen him hurt...He is undefeated champion as a pro and he had a great amatuer career...Chagaev is a great counterpuncher, he's technically sound, has good power and is tough as nails.

I think Chagaev would KO Haye and expose him badly, Haye has **** defence, he keeps his left hand too low and Chagaev would take advantage of that...I see Chagaev outboxing and knocking out the weak chinned Haye with a hard straight left hand.

      Chagaev by KO.
      Haye by knockout.
      Within 5 rounds most likely.
      Chagaev is nothing special.

Exactly. Haye has an outside chance to beat Wlkad, and absolutely none to beat Chagaev. There aren't many people here who know about HWs so don't expect agreement

I also agree with this, Chagaev has shown a good chin while Wlad has been vunerable in the past. Chagaev would absolutely outbox Haye on route to a wide decision while Haye has a punchers chance against Wlad.

I initially thought Chagaev was good but he is getting overrated now. He is not as good as I thought he was when he beat Valuev, and like R/WK pointed out Ruiz and Larry Donald beat Valuev as impressively but didn't get the nod. He also looked horrible against Matt Skelton in which I thought he would be able to KO him or sweep on the cards as Skelton is a horrible, horrible boxer.

The major difference in this fight will be Haye's speed. Haye by TKO in 7

Haye is faster and consideribly more powerful, Chagaev cannot take Haye's shots for 12 rounds, and he is a boxer, but is not overly elusive.
He will get hit and get hurt.

I don't know what your mean't to do to look good against Skelton. He just sticks to his opponents like a big sweaty ****ed up piece of chewing gum for 12 rounds.

Apart from that time he fought on his toes against Big Dan. I love Danny but that fight made me cry inside, humiliating ****.

                Skelton is ****.

I suppose he is super tough with world class stamina to give him his dues.

Chagaev is a good fighter with a great amateur background.

I was impressed by the way he beat Valuev but aside from that fight his performances haven't been that impressive (mainly the Skelton fight but maybe it was ring-rust).
He won close decisions over top 10 HW's Ruiz and Virchis so he belongs at the top of the division, same can't be said for Haye who has yet to beat anybody (in the HW division) but has talked a great deal.

As far as this match-up goes, I can't pick either man until I see Chagaev against Valuev again and Haye against top 10 heavyweights.

Chagaev's left does have underrated power. Just because he didn't knock out Ruiz, Virchis, Skelton and Valuev does not mean he can't punch, those four are extremely hard to knock out.

                  Chagaev vs Valuev

Chagaev took punches from Vladimir Virchis, he is tough.

Oh no doubt. He is as tough as they come, but he cant box worth ****, he only relies on his dirtyness, all you see is:

punch....Hold and hit....punch.....hold.....hold......headbutt.....p unch......push.....headbutt...hold.....elbow.....p unch - this is how each round goes, just repeat it 12 times and then you have a decision over Danny Williams.

If Wlad was terrified about being hit by that Russian lump of lard in his last fight can you imagine the fear of facing someone who can punch? There'll be actual puddles in the ring.

Haye would be mad to chase one of the titleists immediately. He is mad though.
