I'm almost certain Toney will deride Haye in his next interview, even though I like both I'm sure JT will spout some comedy gold, give the guy a mic and its second nature.

"I'd use Roy Jones to wipe sweat off my balls"

-He said this YEARS AFTER Jones had beaten him!!

I'm going to assume that you dont have a good grasp of english here, because if you did, you'd understand that the word "Mandatory" means you dont have a choice.

Wlad HAS to fight Thompson. Don't slam him for doing what's mandated. He doesn't make the rules.

You mean like the "pattycake" he's laid on 43 other trained heavyweights?

I wouldn't mind seeing this fight. Again...all these nuthuggers say how his speed and power are gonna clean out the division. Well Ledts see how fast he is w/20-30 extra lbs (he'll be slower) and how powerful he is at heavy (won't have as much pop as ppl think) and how his chin holds up (already been KTFO by mediocre comp). But a hugger likes the taste of a wrinkled raisin sack in his mouth so it's like i'm talking to a brick wall to allot of these limeys

Sorry mate. The word "murdered" was used. And the fact remains there was nothing near it. Haye won, but was lucky to do so.

Dont give me that crap. He won't get arrested if he gives up his belt. Real champions do it all the time. Belts are meaningless in boxing these days, we know that. To hide behind "Oh, I have mandatories" is sickening.

Lennox Lewis once had a mandatory to fight John Ruiz, a fight no one wanted to see, instead he took on Michael Grant (at the time a fight the people wanted) and gave up the strap. If it was upto those organizations we'd see more Barrera-Fanas than Morales-Pacquiaos.

To meet the demands of sanctioning bodies is, much of the time, unfeasible (and the whole legitimacy of these bodies is undermined when people like Arum and King pay the contenders money to step aside and wait, like they did with Lennox when Tyson was meant to fight him after prison, and like Arum is doing with Joshua Clottey right now), Wlad should be a peoples champion not a damn WBO puppet

I don't understand how a boxing fan can 'hate' or deride Haye at this stage. He's just cleaned up the cruiserweight division, which sure as **** wasn't 'weak' and he is immediately willing to step to the top dogs in the Heavyweight divison.
This is exactly the kind of excitement the heavyweight division needs. People criticise because of his confidence/arrogance but embrace those American fighters that show the same characteristics- Ali/Toney. Also for the record he never said that he was better than Holyfield, he said that he was bigger.
How can you hate on Haye when he is willing to fight the toughest fighters in the world? Especially when you consider his calibre, pedigree and ultimately, potential in the division.
I am a big fan of Haye, he has drawn focus to a divison that has barely drawn a glance since Lennox's departure and I am confident that he is a serious and legitimate threat to all heavyweights.
