what happens if cotto losses the rematch as well?

If Tony beats Cotto in impressive fashion (Which many of us think he will..........and will have an easier time in doing so than many other newbs would) he'll have as much say as Cotto ever did in a Floyd bid.

The fight wiil get signed. Cotto was on the TV news the other day overhere in PR, and he said that the fight will get done, but he is only waiting for Arum to give him the money he is asking for, that is about 6 to 7 mill and a chunk of the PPV. Cotto said in th report that he had to take low pay days in order to fight sometimes and now is the time for him to get paid what he deserves and he said he felt the same way for Tony. He said that this would be a risky fight for both and that both need to get paid very good, because of the risk.

While i would love to see EVERY boxer get his due, we all know that paydays go according to how many asses u put in seats, and ppv's purchased. Unfortunately risk isnt a factor when it comes to getting paid.

BUT, Mayweather has made it clear that it is the lack of "draw power" Cotto possesses that has prevented the fight from happening. And we all know that Floyd isnt opposed to fighting dudes who have losses on their record so that shouldnt even be an issue. So if Margarito were to beat Cotto, I think these are the circumstances that would still keep Cotto vs Mayweather alive

                  1. Margarito vs. Cotto would have to be PPV success 370-400 K
                  2. Cotto would have to avenge his loss to Margarito in dominating and exciting fashion. Boxing the whole fight like he did at the end of Mosley/Cotto wouldnt be exciting enough for fans to want more.
                  3. The rematch would have to do better PPV wise than the original.

If these 3 things were to occur if Cotto were to lose fight 1, I think it would keep Cotto vs. Mayweather alive.
Rephrase that: Staying out of harms way

I know that. But you know they are going to put big PPV numbers. Cotto knows that and Margo knows that. Thats why they re going to get the big money for this fight! I'll say like 525K buys on PPV
