Cotto signs sooner or later, but he makes sure the money is right first, nothing wrong with that at all.
you guys are all getting it twisted by ****** lies. NO ONE IS HOLDING OUT. Money hasnt even been discussed yet. they will both make career highs, they both want to fight each other they have both agreed to fight each other. Arum is meeting cotto today to let him know about the fight being in vegas. and thats it!!! there is no holding out being done by anyone here.

I think i heard there will be no re-match clause but im not 100% If margarito wins im sure he'll move on to chase a floyd fight or the winner of shane/judah or quintana/williams.

Wouldnt you make sure a rematch would happen if you were Bob Arum?

not necessarily. Arum likes margarito just as much as he does cotto and he will carry the winner of this fight to bigger and better things. Say margarito beats cotto they rematch and he beats him again? There goes cotto's career and potential floyd fight. What if marg wins they rematch then cotto wins then they have a third fight and arum has just put his two best fighters in the ring with each other 3 times and woudl have probably taken something out of both fighters with really no one really come out on top. and this could be the same with a cotto victory july 26th then rematch and cotto beating him again then there goes margarito. He's trying to get a fight with floyd with one of these fighters, i dont think he's trying to get these fighters to kill each other or put them through battles with each other where in the long run arum losses.

All I got say is, if there isn't a rematch clause there better be..

Who wouldn't want to see these's two boxing fools trying to kill each other twice?

Hell, they have a ODLH Vs Gayweather rematch, why not the fight of the year of 08 (Cotto Vs Marg II?)

Oh yes i will, I ask the question because If margarito wins i dont think Mayweather would fight him straight and Cotto might want revenge, Whereas if cotto wins margarito doesnt have the power to ask for a rematch Cotto would be able to move on to a Mayweather fight.

I doubt arum would carry margarito the same way he would've carries Cotto if Margarito wins, I mean Margarito doesnt bring in the money like Cotto would for Arum So i would imagine if cotto loses He gets a rematch but if Margarito loses he doesnt get one.

If Margo were to win, that would definitely put a damper on Cotto/Mayweather.
BUT, Mayweather has made it clear that it is the lack of "draw power" Cotto possesses that has prevented the fight from happening. And we all know that Floyd isnt opposed to fighting dudes who have losses on their record so that shouldnt even be an issue. So if Margarito were to beat Cotto, I think these are the circumstances that would still keep Cotto vs Mayweather alive

                      1. Margarito vs. Cotto would have to be PPV success 370-400 K
                      2. Cotto would have to avenge his loss to Margarito in dominating and exciting fashion. Boxing the whole fight like he did at the end of Mosley/Cotto wouldnt be exciting enough for fans to want more.
                      3. The rematch would have to do better PPV wise than the original.

If these 3 things were to occur if Cotto were to lose fight 1, I think it would keep Cotto vs. Mayweather alive.
