Fact or Fiction: Did Julio extract everything from Meldrick on that night?

What do you think? Did Meldrick lose all his prime in 1 night by facing Chavez?

He was just 23 years of age at the time of the fight.

Taylor wasn't the same afterwards, but was still a good fighter.

proberly he did only because taylor mentally broke after the fight and he really got beat up because of his lack of defense he didnt want to fight smart and payed for it.

Meldrick Taylor won a world title after that fight in another division so no.

The idiotic decision to go up in weight to fight Terry Norris at LMW, the loss to Espana at WW and then the rematch with JC Chavez ended Taylor as a top fighter.

His record after those three losses 6-4...

Yea JCC really gave him a beatdown. He was bleeding from the nose and the mouth. He took a horrific battering.

I would say yes, he was never completely the same after that fight. Had he won the fight (like he should have) i think the answer to your question would be no. It wasnt mainly the physical beating he took, it was the mental one...

Yea, he wasn't quite the same fighter after that.
