Taken from a thread where I actually picked Roy to beat Joe, and even admitted it wasn't likely in those brackets. And since Roy tends to get beat by KO when he loses, and with his speed making him very hard to outpoint, my post is unreasonable in the extreme.

117(116)-111 isn't too wide, the fight wasn't difficult to score for Calzaghe IMO, it was pretty clear. I don't know many boxing afficionado's who would disagree given the journalism I've read.
I had 115-112, but I tend to favour the accurate counterpuncher over the volume fighter. Once I had calzaghe winning I was sure he would get the nod. The judge who scored it for hopkins got it wrong.Comment
