    Good question, very good question.

I guess it depends a little on the manner of the defeat. In any case I'd be more likely to demand Margarito-Mayweather, as I'd like to see Floyd in with a big dude at welterweight who has strength and can whack. That being said it wouldn't have much shine on it as Williams already beat Floyd. I guess if Marg beats Cotto PBF is kinda off the hook

I personally would like to see them fight eventually but not at that point in time.

If cotto gets beaten by someone on his way to fighing mayweather then i think cotto has to earn it again.

Everyone (floyd fans; floyd haters; fans of other fighters; etc.) wants to see Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight the absolute best fighters he can fight.

We dont want to see Floyd Mayweather Jr. v. Alfonso Gomez; or floyd mayweather jr vs. joshua clottey.

we all can agree we want to see the best of the best against each other.

Right now many want to see floyd v. cotto because many believe cotto is the absolute best welterweight (currently) other than floyd himself.

if a fighter comes along (like say margarito) who can dissprove that then okay; floyd needs to fight someone besides cotto.

however right now Miguel Cotto is the best welterweight besides floyd (in my eyes) so thats what i want to see; floyd v. cotto.

if cotto gets bumped out of being the best welterweight then i want to see whoever becomes the next best welterweight in there against floyd...

but not him against gomez or clottey.

            Margarito will never beats Cotto

when you going to get it, Stop following nonsense, Margarito will lose easy this fight. Margarito is not even close to Shane Mosley, not even close to the Brazilian fighter Cotto KO. Margarito will be on the canvas by the seven Round. Margarito is an easy target.

That's because he fights fighters that are too "green" to compete with him, or are passed their primes. He will only prove himself "IF" he can beat Margarito. He's definitely not worthy of a Mayweather fight until then.
