Why not? styles make fights, would people still want to see floyd/cotto if floyd loses to DLH? Just wondering, who do Floyd fans want to see Floyd fight?

      If Cotto Loses to Margarito.....

I would like to see floyd try and go for a middleweight belt vs. Felix Sturm .....
and then retire until somebody raise up a to level of accomplishment and prestige that a possible fight would cause boxing to expload...!!

I like that idea.. winners fight the losers fight..

Would be Margarito and PBF.. DLH vs Cotto.. then winners could fight again..

        PBF vs DLH

If Margarito does happen to beat Cotto, Floyd would only say Margarito has unfinished business with Paul Williams that he needs to handle.

Which is actually somewhat of a decent argument.

I think Margarito will win this one, but I'm praying he doesn't, only because that would really **** up the welterweight division. We would have to go back to everyone saying that Floyd is ducking 5 or 6 different fighters, and no matter who he chooses to fight, he would still be accused of ducking someone. If Cotto win, it keeps it simple, and a clear champion of the division could be determined with one fight between Mayweather and Cotto.

Not if Cotto lost by knockout or a wipeout UD. If he just gets edged yeah, but Marg would obviously deserve the first crack at the title.

Floyd should fight the winner, period. No matter who it is it will be the guy who is atop the welterweight heap and Floyd can then prove himself. If Margarito wins, I have a feeling he'll have to beat the winner of Quintana Williams first, but I'm more sure he can beat those guys, as he fights now, than get through Cotto.

Well if Margarito wins, we have a big ass square of fighters who have beaten each other, meaning there is no clear top contender anymore.

                    Margarito beat Cotto
                    Cotto beat Quintana
                    Quintana beat Williams
                    Williams beat Margarito

                    And on and on again!

It really is tough to shut the door on Williams if Margarito wins, even though his victory was far from convincing that he was the better fighter than Margarito.

                      Margarito beat Cotto
                      Cotto beat Quintana
                      Quintana beat Williams
                      Williams beat Margarito

If Cotto wins then it is Cotto Mayweather no questions asked. But if Margarito wins he would have to fight the winner of Quintana Williams too, regardless of who had beaten who before, one of those guys will be on a streak of beating 3 or more top welters in a short period and earning a shot (Cotto=Judah, Mosley, Magarito, Quintana) (Margarito= Cintron, Cotto, Williams/Quintana winner) Quintana (Williams 2x, Margarito), Williams (Margarito 2x, Quintana).

The scenarios only include Williams and Quintana if Cotto loses. But like you said, if quintana wins that extends it one more because Cotto broke him down once before. Let's just Hope Cotto does it in one fight, or Margarito in two.
