margarito: cotto has never faced a natural welterweight!!

Putting away all the ****** childishness away I hear 50 MILLION times on here about Marg and Cotto or Cotto and Floyd.


The reality is, Marg is the underdog as he should be. Cotto is the undefeated fighter and is the bigger name. He will be in his back yard of sorts and people will be behind him 100%.

Saying all that, I think the Cotto fans are a little nervous about Marg. They know that the fights with Santos were a long time ago and Marg is a very different fighter today.

It will be a tough fight for Cotto and remember, styles make fights. Marg style is tough for anyone and Cotto will have to bring his A game to beat Marg and keep him off of him for 12 rounds.

If I was betting money I would say Cotto right now but that could change very easily as the fight approaches.

Kermit had NO accuracy in that fight and didn't go to Marg's body like Cotto is gonna do, no doubt I say it's gonna be a good fight but hopefully Cotto pulls this one off. I like both fighters and think it's gonna be a great night for boxing, damn I can't wait until July 26th!!!!

this is just plain and basic common sense. cotto is in for a big surprise when he feels true power for the first time in his life and when his best shots do nothing to hurt or stop margarito. all cottos shots will do is put a smile on margaritos face.

Thats why I hope Cotto beats the **** out of Margorito(because of posters like you).... Yeah Margarito is a threat...so stop boosting up his credential ****BOY! He is a decent fighter but the **** you say sometimes makes me want to root against him...why dont you shut the **** up sometimes...

Margarito is a very different fighter today? Really? What, did he suddenly become more of a technical fighter? NO! He's still the brawler with the wide shots he's always been. That's the main reason Clottey was able to punish Marg for the first four rounds (until he got hurt) since his punches are shorter, more direct, and more compact. The same goes for Cotto. He's faster, more accurate, and throws straighter shots that will work great as counterpunches.

The more I think of this match-up, the more I favor Cotto. I think he wins a wide decision, if not a TKO/KO in the late rounds due to his body work early. I'm a Cotto fan and I'm nowhere near scared of this match-up. I think it's much easier than fighting Williams or Clottey.
