I suppose you gonna tell me that the extra 7 pounds made a big difference to a man who weighs 180lbs in between fights.

    Yes I am.

Ricky Hatton at 180 pounds.............does that look natural to you?

That's what I call being bored and not being motivated. He lowered himself to the level of his opponent because he didn't take him seriously. Won't happen with Hatton.

Why does it matter how much fat a guy puts on inbetween fights? I mean really, have you seen him? How fat his face is? You do realize that you can't get rid of fat cells (without liposuction), only shrink them? A guy that gets fat inbetween fights can never get as ripped as a guy that doesn't, everything else being equal.

Malignaggi does NOT hit as hard as Collazo.

Miguel Cotto moved up to welterweight because he had to drain himself to make weight. It wasn't healthy for him to do that and he felt he would be stronger at 147.

Doesn't that same thing go for Hatton. A guy who constantly has to lose 20 to 30 pounds. Wouldn't it be more natural for him to be at 147.

Oh yea, he can't handle 147 so he has no choice but to go down and fight the smaller guys. In other words......he is trapped in purgatory between 140 and 147.

Hatton is 5'6", with 20" long arms. What do you want him to fight? LHW?

yes, Hatton has short arms and relies on being physically stronger than the opponent you know thise.

Some of these guys at welter could be fighting at 154 Collazo IS one of them.

Hatton can't compete at welter he just can't, he is a one dimensional guy. It's a pretty good dimension though.

No just 147 and he failed to that.

                  Quit exaggerating.

You brought up him weighing 180 inbetween fights, where he's about 25% body fat, like it's supposed to mean something.

He failed at 147? Why? Because he lost to the best fighter in the world?

But doesn't that mean that the constant weight loss will start impacting his performance sooner or later no matter how hard he trains. It's common knowledge in boxing that if you have to lose too much weight fight after fight, it's not healthy for you. Sure he is making weight but he isn't a gym rat.

A guy like Hopkins stayed at middleweight for decades because he was a dedicated gym rat. He didn't have to lose 20 or 30 lbs for every fight.

Why don't you ask Fernando Vargas how it felt fighting at 154 fight after fight when you weight 190lbs in between fights. It's not good for ya.
