If you don't like the answers, then ask better questions. Beating an undefeated HBO star and world title holder (in the same weight class) who is rated in the top 10 P4P would obviously raise Mayweathers standing in every possible aspect. Why does a ****** question like that even have to be asked?
If you read the whole thing you would know why it's being asked.
It's not an attempt to push a Anti-Cotto agenda.....it's a question of just how great is really Cotto right now? Are people on his nuts because they believe he will beat Floyd and will make excuses if he gets beat like they did with Hatton or is he the real deal?
Because with Floyd it's always that if he defeated a great fighter, he was past his prime. If he beats a young prime fighter, then they overrated. That's the reason for the question.
baldomir and zab weren't real welterweight champions
what type of drug are you smoking
Exactly. He fought the previous and current World champion one after the other in Judah and Baldomir and all I heard was criticism one after the other.
I suppose beating a WBO title holder in Margarito would have been a better victory because some dip****s believe that Margarito had an actual chance of beating him.
Is a Cotto-Mayweather fight a fight between two great fighters or will there be just one great fighter in that ring???
Is it a equivalent to SRL/Hearns or is it a contest between a Champion fighting just another challanger who happens to be worthy?
Thanks in advance.
cotto is a good fighter but he is no hearns or duran. the haters recognize this hence the rush to see the fight rather then let it build.
they realize how limited cotto is and don't think he will stay undefeated until 2009. they want floyd to beat all the titleholders so they can come back and say floyd beak weak comp at 147 like they do know with zab and baldomir.
they are so transparent it isn't even funny they don't want cotto to take risks and win the other titles. and I am here to tell them that floyd vs cotto is nopt going to happen unless all the belts are on the line.
So what decade are we supposed to wait for Floyd to fight a good welter?
I've been waiting since 2004.... Oh yeah, that was the year he fought only Chop-Chop......
So let me get this straight. You were waiting since 2004 just for Floyd to fight Cotto, is that right?? You weren't thinking of any other fights at that time like him fighting Judah who was the undisputed champion or other more established fighters??
For the record, Cotto and Arum - the guy who Cotto says makes all the decisions didn't want anything to do with Floyd. Yeah he pushed his other product Margarito for the 8 mill but he kept Cotto pretty safe.

I am cool with Floyd fighting Cotto or Margarito because they are where it's at welter.
Don't tell me Baldomir ever was, because he was champ.

I'd say you are about right. Alot of people think that way. I already read some excuses that Cotto even if victorious against Margarito - will be weakened/damaged from that fight just enough that Floyd will be able to beat him.
