Doesn't take a genius to realise Joe killed a legend in many peoples eyes within and outside of boxing.

Yeah. But i doubt he would do as well if he had some opponents not in their 40's yet. I don't have anything against Calzaghe except perhaps that no other fighter ever got considered p4p anything for beating such old competition. If beating a 43 year old Hopkins by split decision after being dropped in the first round makes you p4p anything then i'll startin calling out Ali and beat him to get past them all...

Kessler was 7 years younger than Calzaghe and in his prime yet Calzaghe won.
The same age difference 7 years between Hopkins and Calzaghe. Difference is both Hopkins and Calzaghe are not in their prime.

You can find names like that on Jones and Hopkins resumes as well. Pudwill came in as a late replacement, he wasn't the chosen opponent.

Salem was a tough cookie, by the way, and one of the dirtiest fighters I've ever seen.

Mario Veit was 30-0 and was the interim WBO super middleweight champion. Joe KOed him in round one.
