You are comparing Calzaghe to McNeeley? That is absurd. It seems to me that you just don't like the guy, and that nothing Calzaghe can do or his fans can say will change your mind.

The truth is this: you can call Calzaghe overrated if you want, but until someone proves he is by beating him, he isn't.

        With who promoting him?

no one would have seen him.

If your a Calz fan you would have known that Lacy fan is what catupulted him he wasn't a draw before that.

Hence having to fight bums like Delaney in their hometowns.

I thought I had the same issue with him, but I'm realizing the ambience of the Hopkins fight is what has really been getting my goat. I do like Joe actually, he never got nasty when he could have easily went into the gutter with words for B-Hop after that bigoted comment. I cringed as I saw a fighter make an event racial when it didn't have to be, and then cringed a second time when the event actually played out taking Bernard's words to heart instead of rightfully ignoring him. He should have been fined and made to apologize because I think retribution was taken with the fight's result.. the fact there was motive to do it was enough to make me cringe a 3rd time when the scorecards were being read.

That's how I feel about it, nobody is changing my mind so don't bother. After seeing Soliman/Wright and Spinks/Taylor being scored in a more usual manner for boxing, but last Saturday going in the other direction, boxing really needs to establish a precedence system with how they're awarding wins like this. Inconsistency with how they're scoring no-to-low power but high frequency throwing fighters vs. low frequency+higher power throwing fighters is irritating me.

Are you American? Let me tell you something. Judging by your post you have absolutely no idea how what little nationalism we posses in Britain (compared to the US) works. Very few people really walk around thinking "I am Welsh", "I am Scottish", "I am English" etc. Some do, but they are in the minority. The vast majority of us simply consider themselves British, with England, Scotland and Wales, being to all intents and purposes the same country.

Nothing Calzaghe has ever said indicates he is a particularly strong Welsh nationalist and I'm sure he appreciates all his British fans. He flies the Welsh flag, sure, he is from there, but to say he hates non-Welsh British fans is just silly.

In Britain, for the most part, we simply do not think along these rigidly divided lines you seem to suggest.

Every fighter does it. Calzaghe's record is fine. As I said, find me the fighter who beats him and I'll agree with you.

Otherwise i might as well be a ****ing pro too, doesnt matter if i get hit with the same punches for 12 rounds, as long as i keep throwing i can get a decision in this day and age.

                    Good K given.

check box-rec son. For a world champion he consistently fought disgustingly inferior opponents
