De La Hoya/Julio Cesar Chavez sparring?

i've seen one......dlh is pretty much controlling chavez till chavez kinda lands a left hook to the body and oscar in his urgency to evade it steps back a little too fast and slips......the chavez nutuggers or oscar haters will undoublty say it was a knockdown ....im a huuge fan of both and i think it was a punch-slip at the same time...

Yeah I remember watching that. Shane used to do a number on a lot of experienced world champs when he was just a baby in the sport

Around the time of the first De La Hoya v Chavez fight i remember reading that the two once sparred around the time Oscar went to the olympics and Chavez did a number on him, does anyone else know anything about this?

Yes. The reason Oscar went hard on shot Chavez when they fought was revenge for a KD that happened in sparring. Mosley confirmed the story.
