Me neither. I think it's just favoritism and bias, because if anyone took the time to analyze how each guy has been fighting lately, it's obvious Roy has no chance.

A prospect named Anthony Hanshaw outlanded Roy; just imagine what Calzaghe would unleash upon him. Hanshaw was so active that Roy stayed on the ropes 90% of time with his arms up doing NOTHING. How he was given those rounds is beyond me, people complain about Floyd running even while he outlands his opponents, but Roy stays on the ropes completely paralyzed and he somehow wins the round. Jones simply cannot do this against Calzaghe, and even if he decides to fight in the center of the ring, Calzaghe is faster, stronger, and smarter than Roy at this stage of their careers.

Just because Jones beat a Tito coming of a two-year layoff, a shutout loss, and fighting 10 pounds over his previous highest fighting weight does NOT mean this man can be competitive with the top dogs of the sport, much less a Top 5 P4Per like Calzaghe.

First off that was Roys FIRST comeback fight..he was rusty as hell and still won.

And Calzaghe is not a top 5 p4p fighter.

Why the hell would Jones lay on the ropes aginst Calz for long periods at atime.

Calzaghe cant hurt him at all....

Calzaghe has no power at 175 pounds...NONE.

Roy is still crisp, fast and strong......Calzaghe is not bigger, faster, or stronger then Roy.

This would be because of clean, effective punching.

Throwing a thousand shots on the arms and gloves should not make you win a round when your opponent is landing 2 or 3 clean, effective punches on you.
No matter how ****ing cute it looks, all them punches still miss their mark.

People fail to acknowledge that fact.

            .
            Good post, most agreed.

That segment shouldn't have been highlighted in my response.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there buddy.

Calzaghe is at least Top 3 if not the 2nd best fighter P4P. He certainly gets my vote over Pacquiao.

                    How???

                    For beating Lacy..then Manfredo...then Bika..then Kessler and a 43 year old Hopkins.

                    Umm no???

Nothing he has done has number 2 p4p written on it.
