Its funny that people mention Cottos power..but I think if its a KO in this fight it'll be Floyd KOing Cotto....by some punch that Cotto will never see coming..Cotto makes too many mistakes and is too flawed to beat a Floyd Mayweather.
Fair enough about the jab, but I do think that Cotto will zero in on that tactic primarily if he is winning the fight with it, and isn't have much success elsewhere.

Just remember, Corley hurt Mayweather. It's not inconceivable that Cotto could do the same, except Cotto is known as a murderous puncher, Corley really isn't (although I still think Corley is underrated in just about every area possible by most people).

He walked Hatton down and beat the **** out of him..Cotto is is shorter and has a shorter reach then Mayweather...Floyd will beat the **** out of him the same way....maybe worse....Hatton made Floyd uncomfortable at times..Cotto is that relentless and reckless with his pressure tactics like Ricky was.
Cotto is bigger than him by a long shot though.

      Who walked whom down?

Don't ever compare Ricky to Cotto especially at 147.

Well, still, it's academic to this thread. Cotto is a ****ing giant compared to both Mayweather and Hatton at this point.

I can't agree with this. Being bigger doesn't always mean height. And you mentioned Baldomir......Baldomir is shorter then Floyd at 5'7. But he was the stronger fighter.

Cotto is even more stronger. And recently Cotto's height statistic has been changed to 5'8 so who knows he is probably just as tall as Mayweather.

Floyd's way to victory is using his legs and his counter punching ability a la against Diego Corrales.

But, Roberto Duran took head shots well until he ran into Tommy Hearns.

I think it would be one of those things, because Cotto's left hook to the body is on another level from pretty much anything else in the sport, let alone anyone on Floyd's resume to this point. Castillo's body shots at 135 are not even in the same universe as Cotto's body shots at 147.

                Do you agree?
I think Castillo was a good body puncher. These days I think Hatton and Cotto are the best body punchers...Cotto's bodyshots will be blocked and countered IMO and even if he lands some I think floyd can take them, he has a good chin and also can take punches well to the body from the 39 fights i have seen in his career. Also Hatton was quicker but Cotto has the better power.

Yeah. I didn't say Cotto would land one. I said if he did land a flush one, I think that will be it for Floyd, on account of how small Floyd is compared to Cotto.

Castillo was a good body puncher, but he wasn't known as a HUGE puncher. He was a strong, good puncher, as most Mexican fighters seem to be (that's a complement for your fighters Mexicans!), but he really wasn't the type of puncher that makes you worry about a one-punch KO. Cotto does have that type of power.

                    Cotto vs. Gomez....

                    Floyd vs. Hatton

Its safe to say that Floyd has GROWN into 147..and is now a legit welter...hell he used to didnt get past 145 in between fights...he weighed 160 on WWE.

Hes gotten way bigger...hes not this Floyd anymore

Everybody including myslef thinks that Cotto will go and pressure Floyd and maybe that would be part of his strategy but what if he decides to make Floyd the aggresor at times. Floyd was the aggressor against Zab and Sharmba and he got hit clean. He got hit plenty against Corley too. And yeah, all three are southpows but Cotto as of late has been switching to lefty very effectively.
