Mayweather-Baldomir had a Countdown show, which generates a lot of interest.

Cotto-Gomez went up against Showtime's Dawson-Johnson and Tarver-Woods. A more balanced, spin-free assessment would have mentioned that.

Stop giving Cotto excuses. If Floyd did a 2.1 EVERYONE and their mother would be all over his ass. Stop the bull****, he did a 2.1, it ****** he will get a better rating next time out.

Cotto is not a nationwide draw. a 2.1 rating is HORRIBLE. No excuses. Does that mean he isn't STILL Floyd's most worthy challenger? No he is STILL number 1 in that regard, and they say Floyd huggers defend him like females.

Those are the same people who tried sticking up for Margarito when people told them that he can't draw flies to ****.

Sergei Lyakovich vs Shannon Briggs was a alternative option on showtime during the Mayweather/Baldomir PPV. Just something to consider.
When did boxing fans start caring about nielsen ratings?

Edit: You are a boxing fan right?

This is a public forum where we discuss a variety of things including PPVs and ratings.

                Get over yourself.

It is also notable that not even the presence of Cintron VS Margarito seemed to help this card.

Did I hurt your feelings? I thought this was a public forum where we discuss a variety of things. Was I not doing just that?

You did not hurt my feelings, I simply answered. I understand you want to talk about pure fighting and not the busines aspect of the sport but the business is a reality you're gonna have to deal with.
