People cannot excuse Cotto's poor Tv ratings on HBO

Mayweather convinced 340,000 households to PAY to watch him fight BALDOMIR.

People refused to watch Miguel for FREE.

Sergei Lyakovich vs Shannon Briggs was a alternative option on showtime during the Mayweather/Baldomir PPV. Just something to consider.

No one felt Gomez had a shot, it was a mismatch. Why don't you talk about Cotto's numbers in a fight the public had interest in?

Did the pubic have interest in a Mayweathe vs Baldomir fight.

Reread what I said and take the thread I created into context before you comment.

I'd prefer to comment the American way, which is anyway I feel.

Mayweather-Baldomir had a Countdown show, which generates a lot of interest.

Cotto-Gomez went up against Showtime's Dawson-Johnson and Tarver-Woods. A more balanced, spin-free assessment would have mentioned that.

            1. Everybody complained about the Baldomir-Mayweather fight leading up to the fight. "It's gonna be boring". "Baldomir doesn't have a chance", "he is scared of Margarito and chose Baldomir" blah.

            2. As already mentioned, Sergei Lyakovich vs Shannong Briggs was on Showtime for free the same night.

            3. American way?

just respond. Not about a countdown and all that. Does a countdown help, yes. But look at what he said. So if it had a countdown, it would have been different? I am NOT going to bash Cotto for his fight with Gomez, I have to bash his promoter!!!!

                  2. As already mentioned, Sergei Lyakovich vs Lemon Brewster (one of the best fights that year) was on Showtime for free the same night.

See, now you are just misinformed. Mayweather-Baldomir took place November 4, 2006. Brewster-Lyakhovich took place April 1, 2006. Get your facts straight.
