As you can see I did say Lyakovich vs Briggs in my orignal post when I created this thread so it doesn't matter.
Point still remains the same.

2. As already mentioned, Sergei Lyakovich vs Lemon Brewster (one of the best fights that year) was on Showtime for free the same night.
3. American way?
1. Floyd was put on the map by his fight with Arturo Gatti when Gatti was peaking at HIS popularity
2. Floyd's second fight after that was with Zab Judah and was a PPV fight and both were carrying momentum in the boxing world, especially Floyd after the Gatti fight
3. The Showtime card had ALOT to do with the ratings for the simple fact that Antonio Tarver was on the card. The same Antonio Tarver that had PPV fights with Bernard Hopkins AND Roy Jones Jr. in HIS recent previous fights.
Casual fans dont know what we know about the sport. They only know what promoters and fighters sell them. They bought and attended Mayweather vs. Baldomir THINKING, EXPECTING, to see some excitement and everything but that happened. Fans were booing, walking out and the commentators ****ting on Floyd during and after the fight didnt help either. So let me ask you a question, you think that Floyd's numbers would had been the same after the Baldomir fight if he would have faced someone OTHER than DLH?
