Wlad, add a poll to the thread, and click on the "public poll" option so we can see later who voter for Joe and Roy.

This fight may even have less action than Cal-Hop.

i honestly think Roy wanted Cal because he doesn't believe he hits hard enough to threaten him and Roy thinks he's still quicker.

If Roy takes rounds off like he did against Trinidad, he will lose a UD but if he can sting Joe early it may get interesting.

Right now I would say Joe c UD.

I think Roy TKO's Calzaghe......Roy is old now but he still has good skills. out of all the other possible match ups for Roy i think this one is the easiest.

I was shocked when Hopkins dropped Calzaghe in the first and wobbled him in round 7.....when was the last time Hopkins hurt someone like that?

Roy has power and is still faster than calzaghe.
this is what i see happening, I see Roy against the ropes with Calzaghe doing his slapping flurry. and jones comes back with a quick powerful combo that drops Calzaghe. He gets up and roy actually finishes the fight right after..

Another thing is the respect Calzaghe has for jones.....he has said he like jones style and was a huge fan of his. I am wondering if that is going to affect Joe in the fight...he payed alot of respect to hopkins skills during the fight..and its someone he hates....Does he pay two much respect for jones?

The only way Calzaghe is going to win is by stopping jones.....i dont see him being able to outwork him. His punches are to wide and sloppy and against a guy with the speed and power of jones, i think its a recipe for disaster.

if joe doesnt get knocked down in the first round ( ) then i'd say he goes on for a UD comfortably...hopefully

You do realize Roy hasn't knocked anyone out since 2002, right?
