that's a dumb arguement. what does age have to do with it???? different fighter develop differently. archie moore, and george foreman in their 40 were beating guys in their 20s. mike tyson was whoppin evryone in his 20s but slowed down in his 30s. what's your point with age?
to answer your question yes a prime cotto (when he entered his prime) would beat all of them. no one would match a green cotto with a prime castillo, just as they wouldnt match a green floyd with anyone he wasnt expected to beat. floyd been doing that earlier in his career, and also doing it now, avoiding fights he would loose.

Maybe you should think before posting. Zab Judah both fighters fought him at welterweight and Demarcus Corley both fighters fought him at lightweight. Check your facts before you post and get off floyd's nuts.

Correction: Corley fought cotto at 140(jnr welterweight).

And aside from Corley and Judah.Cotto fought those fighters that him and Mayweather beat at his natural weight class and not theirs .Cotto had the size advantage.


And Mayweather dropped Corly a whole bunch of times.I thought he dropped Corly atleast 4 times the ref counted 2 knockdowns.

The Cotto stoppage of Corly was unjust cause Corly just took a knee.Had Corly been allowed to continue ,he probably would have made it to the scorecards or maybe even stop Cotto cause Corly caught him with a really
good shot early in the fight that wobbled him bad but Corly is such a poor finisher that he let Cotto off the hook.

and im not saying welterweight, that's way way way too easy. pick any fighter of his record regardless of weight, and give me a strong arguement why cotto would loose.

you make your name and prove your abilities when you beat name and fighters around, in his earlier days floyd beat some decent fighters, but ability wise, he didnt beat anyone that cotto couldnt handle

floyd cant use an excuse that cotto is not marketable because miguel was making PPV apperances way faster than floyd did. it took mayweather his whole career to put his ignorant ass on PPV and with arturo gatti, where arturo was the attraction.

Most of the fightes below jr.welter that Floyd defeated are too weak to really be competing against Floyd. Oscar might beat Cotto. That's the one guy I can say doesn't rely on pure strength advantage but actual skills. Oscar has more skills then Cotto.

As far as Cotto making PPV appearances faster then Floyd. He did less numbers with then Floyd did. He just came off one of the lowest ratings of a FREE HBO card of all things. If I were you I would drop that part of the argument.
