Re-injuring his hand can't be fun. He looked like he was in a lot of pain.

It's pretty interesting how people have different sensitivity to pain.
It's kind of like how some people can hear certain sounds and others can't.

I think that is something people are born with something they don't always have a ton of control over.


He may have quit, but to me it was an honest quittage.

He did good, but doesn't have a championship mentality.

Cuello tore his shoulder in the second round and threw right hands the rest of the fight....10 rounds of only throwing the right hand

He did give Vazquez his toughest fight a 135, but you might be right about his mental toughness. I also think Nugaev is a much better fighter than Zhong. Cuello was heavily favored to win that fight and still only lost by MD.

I will say this tough Quintero has had some tough breaks in his career. He went to war with Harris in another fight he broke his hand early in and eventually got stopped. He also was set to fight Ameth Diaz in a Ibf eliminator and broke his nose a month before the fight. That's the reason he's been so inactive since the Vazquez fight. I think Quintero is a tough guy but I don't think he would've beat Nugaev wih one hand.
