To be fair, if Hopkins is no legend, and Calzaghe barely beat an 43 year old version of that non-legend, what does that say about Calzaghe?

Calzaghe should quit while he's ahead

Calzaghe did look amateurish against a slow and old Hopkins. If hopkins was younger it would have been embarrassing for Calzaghe. In my opinion he didnt "BEAT" Hopkins.. if anything Hopkins lost the fight because he was too old to throw any punches. It wasnt like anything Calzaghe did kept Hopkins from winning. Calzaghe won on points but that aint saying much because he never did anything special during the whole fight. He looked tentative and was easily hurt anytime Hopkins hit him flush with that right hand. I cant remember a recent opponent of Hopkins who was hurt so much by the right hand. If Calzaghe fights the same way against Roy Jones he is going to get his ass tore up.

No both RJJ and Joe are great fighters, so is BHOP but even if Calzaghe v Hopkins happened 4/5 years ago Joe still woulda won dont matter if 160 or 168. To cap off RJJ would beat Joe in his prime, and RJJ would now and like 93 beat BHOP so if anything id prefer to see RJJ v Pavlik 1st.

I love RJJ, but Tarver destroyed Tarver in 12 complete rounds at 40 yr old. the man,Tarver, That KOd Rjj and beat him twice if not three times if you include their first fight. Also, Hopkins destroyed Glenn Johnson who KOd RJj. Hopkins KO Tito in his Prime when Tito had no Defeats. I think they are Both Legends, but if you cal Roy a Legend then you have to call Old Poppy Hopkins a Legend. Joe got Floored, and Slpas his punches in bunches. We all know that those Old judges count every punch that gets picked off as a point. Those judges have old eyes. I didnt see Je land more than 3 or 4 decent good hard punches in the Whole Hopkins fight. Hope Roy has gas in the Tank and puts on a Clinic one more Time.

James Toney is a better name than anyone Hopkins has on his list besides RJJ (who he lost to).

Please, don't go trying to knock RJJ because RJJ is the best boxer h2h ever. There's nobody that would have beat him in his prime. I mean, he even beat Tarver the first time they fought AFTER having gained and lost 25lbs of muscle in a short period of time. You don't even realize what that **** did to the spring in his legs. No spring in his legs means no chin.

So, when Tarver closed his eyes and lowered his head throwing that punch, Jones had nothing to absorb the shock. That's why he went down. After that he was too cautious like most fighters that get knocked out.

Prime RJJ beats anyone. RJJ now beats Calzaghe into the ground with ease. RJJ has freakish speed and power. He might not be able to take a heavy punch anymore, but since he's adopted Winky's style of fighting and not relying on his dwindling reflexes anymore he's much better defensively.

                  RJJ >>>>> Hopkins > Calzaghe.

Please don't talk pure ****. It was a crap fight, I wanted nard to win but Calzaghe was never hurt in the fight. He got up from the knockdown like it didn't happen. If Calzaghe was getting hurt he would have slowed down. He was getting faster as the fight went on.
